Offered is a beautiful high condition Model 1886 standard rifle that features the case colored frame, nose cap, buttplate, hammer, and lever of which fully 95% of the brilliant colors still remain with just minor loss of lacquer and high edge wear. The rifle is standard equipped with a 26" full octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle buttplate, Winchester sling eyes installed, and sporting front and rear sights. The barrel and tube retain approximately 90% original factory blue finish, just starting to thin. The walnut stocks are excellent with no cracks with just a couple of minor bumps. Wood is proud to metal and has never been sanded or refinished. The bolt retains the majority of the factory blue, and the loading gate has thinned to about 50%. Action is like new. Perfect bore. Hard to find Model 86 is in such fine condition with the case colored frame. It is chambered for the .40-82 Winchester centerfire cartridge.
