This Model 63 rifle was manufactured in the first year of production in 1933. It is the deluxe model with the rare checkered pistol grip stock. Features includes 20" round barrel (cut 3"), blued finish, chambered for the .22LR. The barrel retains virtually all of the original factory blue finish. Frame retains approximately 98% original blue finish with a couple of light freckles. The deluxe checkered walnut stocks are near mint, proud to metal, in the all original finish with a minor chip at the toe. Excellent bore. The barrel has been tapped and filled (four) for a barrel mounted tube scope, and it sports a King sporting rear sight. There is a hint of rust at the high end of the muzzle. The muzzle is flat and crowned. It is our belief that this has been cut as standard Model 63s have a rounded muzzle and are not crowned. Winchester letter revealed no records. The front sight is set back 7/8" to center. Beautiful as altered with the unfortunate addition of scope mount screws.
