Offered is one of the finest Model 1901 U.S. Army swing-out revolvers this writer has ever seen. Standard features include 6" barrel, blued finish, smooth walnut grips, and chambered for the .38 long Colt cartridge. "U.S. Army Model 1901" is stamped on butt. "R.A.C." (Renaldo Carr) is stamped on the bottom of both grips, left side of frame, back of cylinder. Bottom of barrel has a "K 9237". "2664K" on cylinder release. Gun retains fully 95% original factory high polish blue finish, with the fire blue on handle and trigger. Grips, bore, and action are mint. Very high grade U.S. martial pistol. Springfield Research did not return up any further information.
