This third model standard 1866 lever action rifle was manufactured in 1883. It is a standard in all respects. Features a 24" round barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, varnished walnut stocks, with a brass frame. Chambered in the .44 rimfire cartridge. The brass frame is a beautiful aged mellow brass hue having never been cleaned or touched. The barrel and tube are basically a nice clean smooth brown patina. Barrel has the King's patent stamp with the 1860 date. The wood is excellent, proud to metal, has most of the original varnish, and almost appears ebony in appearance, albeit there is a closed 2-1/2" crack on the left side of the wrist (easily repaired). Some original blue on loading gate. Very nice strong bore with just very minor corrosion. Really handsome all original 66 Yellow boy that has a great look and has never been messed with. Far better than average.
