Large 15 1/2" Bowie Knife with a 10 1/2" blade. There is light pitting on the blade but the edge is sharp with no visible signs of sharpening or nicks. Marked "ALEXANDER" on the left side and a "L shield Y" on the right side. The checkered ivory grips are in fine condition with no losses. Included is a leather sheath with German silver caps. The handle is topped off with a German silver sea shell pattern. Point is perfect. Really impressive and large Sheffield Bowie from 1840-50’s.
