This rifle started life as a Model 1894 takedown rifle in 1928. A Model 55 front end was retrofitted to the gun and appears factory. Probably factory update or use of a 94 receiver when building this rifle, as it has all of the Model 55 features including the steel shotgun butt fluted rear comb stock. Standard features 24" round barrel half magazine, takedown, and chambered for the .32 Winchester Special cartridge. The barrel retains 95% original factory blue finish. The receiver is as typical of all 94s from this era, retains 75% of the original blue finish, with the balance simply flaked to brown. Wood stocks are very good, never refinished, but there is a closed 1-1/2" crack in butt stock (easily repaired). Equipped with sling eyes. Excellent bore. Perfect action. Flat top sporting rear sight and small ramp front.
