There is Trench Art and then there is Trench Art. This is a typical WW1 infantry AEF helmet that was painted in the patriotic theme of the era by one Ernest Beaulieu A.E.F. France Sec. K.of C. Multi-color image of men armed with Colt Model 1911 .45’s going “Over the Top” The United States Flag encompasses the rim of the helmet and the top is a sunburst over an Eagle with spread wings. The finest example of WW1 trench art one will ever see.
