This all original rifle remains in excellent condition. Standard features include 32-5/8" barrel, caliber .45-70 govt, manufactured in 1891, has the 1884 stamped breech block, cartouche on left side is SWP 1891. All proper military inspector marks. The barrel retains approximately 90% original factory blue starting to plum. Traces of color on block. Near mint original stocks with perfect cartouche and circle P on bottom. Right side of stock is unit stamped 33 and 85. Lock plate retains about 40% original blue. Still has most of the fire blue on barrel bands. Mint bore and action. Exceptionally clean Model 88.
