Manufactured in Pond Hill, Sheffield in the mid-1860's. It is a standard drop point with a 9" blade and 14" overall. Features includes German nickel quillion, four silver bolsters, and stag handles with silver escutcheon. It is maker stamped on the ricasso. Blade is in excellent condition with a perfect tip, no visible sharpening marks, but does have a couple minor chips on edge. Handles are excellent with no visible cracks or chips. Comes in an original sheath with hanger and nickel throat and tip. Lovely large early Rodgers bowie.
