This musket was manufactured in 1895. Standard features include a 30" round barrel, lever action, three barrel bands, military rear sight, blued finish, walnut stock, carbine buttplate, sling swivels and chambered for the .44-40 Winchester cartridge. Has strong factory stamp on barrel. The caliber is marked at breach and on lifter. There is flashes of blue on the loading gate and a couple of recesses on frame, but gun is basically a smooth brown patina with some scattered roughness. Walnut stocks are very good with no cracks or chips, proud to metal, with usual dings found on this model. Bore is very good with some strong rifling but has scattered roughness. Fine working order.
