This standard U.S. Army pistol was manufactured in 1919. Standard features include 5" barrel, blued finish, diamond checkered walnut grips, and chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. All original standard features include checkered small parts, long spur wide hammer, original sights, with a replaced 1911 A1 arch mainspring housing. Also has the short checkered trigger instead of the long smooth trigger. Slide is stamped "H6" under the firing pin retainer. The barrel is stamped "SP" at the lug (Springfield replacement). Colt horse is at the rear on the slide of the left side. Right side of slide is stamped "Model 1911 U.S. Army". Slide retains approximately 75% of the original blue, with some minor corrosion on top and usual freckling. Frame retains approximately 50% of the original factory blue (missing on front grip strap). Bore is mint. Magazine is an unmarked pinned two-tone. By replacing the trigger and mainspring housing, this pistol could be brought back to original condition. Comes with a U.S. Model 1912 swivel type cavalry holster which is stamped "1915 TC".
