Special order rifle was manufactured in 1926 and is chambered for the popular .44-40 cartridge. It is a special order factory short rifle with a 20" round barrel, full magazine, special short fore end, and rifle butt. This gun has been expertly restored to near new condition with brilliant case colors, 98% factory style rust blue, and perfect barrel stamps. Wood is excellent as refinished, proud to metal, with no cracks or chips. Perfect action. Excellent bore. Finish on barrel does have some minor freckling. Handsome 1892 short rifle in a great caliber.
