This rifle was manufactured in Tulle, France and is chambered for the 8mm Lebel cartridge. It is a World War I sniper rifle that has an original French World War I APX "1917" dated scope. The mounts are custom made replicas near original pattern. It is set up for left eye relief. Barrel is 32". Metal is basically a smooth blue-brown patina. Original walnut stock is very good, numbered to rifle, with usual war dings. Mismatched bolt. This is an interesting rifle in that it replicates the extremely rare French World War I sniper rifle utilizing an original 1886 and a 1917 dated sniper scope with a custom machine mount. The scope is extremely rare, the first this writer has ever seen. Strong bore and action.
