Manufactured in 1937. Only offered from 1936 to 1954. The percent of pre '64 model 70's manufactured in 7mm caliber is rare enough and the number of carbines in that caliber are a mere percentage of this total making this pre-war carbine one of the rarest of all production Model 70's. Standard carbine features 20" blued barrel, checkered walnut stock, and bolt action. Carbine is in excellent and all original condition. Wood is excellent with a couple of minor bumps and sharp factory checkering. 98% original blue on metal. Strong rifled bore with some frosting. Perfect action. Rarity factor 9/10. A true collectors dream. One gun that is on virtually every Model 70's collectors want-list.
