The factory letter states that this gun was shipped to the state of Pennsylvania care of Troop C state police in Reading, Pennsylvania on January 8th, 1929 in a shipment of one gun. It was shipped as a .45 long Colt caliber with a 5-1/2" barrel, blued finished (case colored frame and hammer), with Colt rubber logo grips. One of the more interesting aspects of this revolver is that under special features is listed: furnished with a 3-1/2 lb. trigger pull. This writer has neither seen nor heard of another special order single action having been shipped with such a feature. The revolver remains in beautiful 95% plus condition overall. Finish is all original, aside from a drag line and storage marks around the circumference of the cylinder, and some high edge wear on trigger guard, with a hint of thinning on back strap the gun retains virtually all of the original factory finish with brilliant case colors on hammer and frame. Screws retain virtually all of the original blue. Action and bore are perfect. Grips are near mint and original to gun. A spectacular special order Colt in never seen condition. High condition.
