This is considered a third issue and was manufactured in 1948. It is chambered for the .22 LR cartridge. Standard features include a “6 barrel, blued finish, six shot, double action, adjustable sights, and early Colt Python style medallion walnut grips. There is a hint of muzzle wear, light drag line at crane, light drag line on cylinder, and a couple of storage scuffs. Grips are near mint. Bore and action are mint. Comes in an original hinged Colt box with no number or end label. Included is the original test target numbered to gun, original shooting instructions, and the original permit to purchase. One of the finest .22 target revolvers ever manufactured by Colt. The inner workings are the basis of the Colt Python. Beautiful condition.
