We cannot find any makers name on the barrel, but experts indicate Jacob Sell as the gunsmith responsible. Side lock not marked. Features include a 45-1/2" part octagon barrel, carved stock with cheek piece, single trigger, flintlock ignition, brass buttplate, ramrod, and .50 caliber. Light but visible rifling. There is a crack in the stock at forward area of trigger guard with repair. Brass is toned. Has a single leaf rear sight. Nice early example of American full stock. This is a high quality early 19th century full stock attributed to the talents of Jacob Sell.
