This carbine was manufactured in 1892. It is a standard carbine featuring a 20" round barrel, full magazine, two barrel bands, blued finish, walnut stock, and carbine buttplate with saddle ring installed. Chambered for the .44-40 cartridge. Factory stamps are clear on barrel and worn on tang. Left side of frame has British proofs. All metal is basically a grey-brown patina. Wood forearm has some chipping at frame. Buttstock is very good with a missing sliver and is shy to the bottom tang on right side. Fine working action. Bore still show rifling, but dirty.
