40" barrel in .54 bore-percussion. Lock was manufactured by Joseph Goulcher. Features full octagon barrel, set rear sight, blade front, three brass retaining thimbles, forend tip, buttplate, toe plate and patch box. Single trigger. Left side small Pennsylvania cheek piece. Stock is in near mint condition. Metal is brown patina with salt and pepper finish overall. This is a basic working rifle, completely unadorned with any decorations or engraving aside from the lock.
