This German made hammer combination gun is a 16 Bore over 7 x 57 mm. The barrels measure 26 3/16 inches. The smooth bore is bright and shiny with some light pitting near the breech. The rifle barrel shows deep rifling with light frosting. The solid rib has a flip up leaf sight and a fixed front. The barrel blue rates 65 to 70 percent and has a sling swivel mounted to it. The fore-end wood shows worn checkering and slivers of wood are missing where the fore-end comes in contact with the barrel. The engraved receiver shows two deer in a feeding scene on the left side and two elk in a feeding scene on the right side. The right hammer screw has a broken head. The gun features a set trigger, sling swivels, capped pistol grip, and a cheek piece. The length of pull is 13 1/2 inches to a black plastic butt plate. The pistol grip checkering is very fine and shows wear. A good checkering man could freshen it up to look as new. Overall, a nice gun for the October woods.
