29" barrels in .46 bore-percussion. This is another interesting over-under rifle. Both barrels are full round, with the top barrel sighted with a long tang rear. Front sight slot missing sight. Two thimbles on both sides retain rods. It is a percussion, single trigger, mule ear with two hammers. Has a brass patch box, toe plate, buttplate and trigger guard. Trigger guard and buttplate are nickel plated. Has some silver ornamentation on left. Wood stock is very good with a 1” repair at upper left wrist and a glued repair at lower wrist with some glue residue. Patch box has been cleaned. Other brass parts retain most of their nickel or silver finish. Sideplate is engraved. Barrels are a smooth brown patina. Hammer springs are weak. Interesting mid-19th century rifle, that with a little work on stock and hammer springs, would be a very fine example.
