Barrel length is 39", bore is .80. Early smooth bore musket. The only marking we can find is a standing lion on right side of lock. It is a smooth bore with three brass thimble rod retainers. The forward thimble is a trumpet style, has a brass forend, front sling swivel placed in center of forward thimble much like Brown Bess. There is a bayonet attachment set in front of stock, brass buttplate and trigger guard, fixed front and rear sights, metal is finished in the white and is clean with some brown freckling. Walnut stock is excellent but there is a 2" crack on left side of wrist and a few bumps and bruises. Has a rear sling swivel and a vintage leather sling. There is a metal period repair forward of the trigger guard that utilizes plates and pins.
