Barrel length is 39 1/2 inches. Also has a .78 bore. Early flintlock musket has the tower 1774 lock with VR proof crown. Original flintlock, hammer, pan and frizzen. Smooth bore barrel is in a gun metal gray with freckling having been finished in the white. Three brass rod retaining thimbles with the front being a trumpet and brass nose guard. Has four brass inlaid barrel retaining plates and brass plate on left side of stock. Has the small military brass trigger guard with a sling swivel and a brass butt plate. Walnut stock is in excellent condition with good metal to wood fit at plate and guard with no cracks. Does have a small wood plug repair at wrist. Has a metal cleaning rod.
