c1940's Pivoting Spinning Reel, manufactured by Karge & Son of Clinton St, Brockport, NY, currently one of 3 known examples, marked Ball on Ball Spinning Reel, Karge & Son, Brockport, NY, Pat Pend. 2-3/4" hard plastic (bakelite?) spool mounted on what appears to be an aluminum frame, double ball handle, nickel plated foot. Reel shows very minor wear. Karge was a prolific inventor and machinist, holding many patents. With reportedly 50 or less of these produced, and only 3 known, this would be a fine addition to any spinning reel collection.
