.40-65 WCF with a 29-3/4" barrel. This rifle was manufactured 1890-91. The rifle has been completely and lovingly restored and retains virtually all of the re-applied blue finish. The rifle has been re-stocked in lovely oil finished walnut and finely hand checkered. Barrel was slightly shortened to achieve a perfect crown. Rear sight slot cut is empty due to the addition of a long range tang sight and a Spirit level target globe front sight. Finely checkered steel shotgun buttplate referred to as a Neidner-style. Original barrel has sharp legends. Action is perfect. Checkered adjustable trigger. Near mint strong bore. About the only flaws is that there are a few minor marks on barrel that were not polished out when finish was applied. This will make a fine shooting rifle and is extremely handsome and professionally finished.
