Features a 26" barrel in .32-20 WCF. Offered is a fine Colt Lightning medium frame deluxe slide action magazine rifle chambered for the .32-30 cartridge. Features the full octagon barrel, full magazine, sporting front and rear sights with tang peep sight, deluxe grain pistol grip checkered walnut stocks, rifle butt with inset nickel silver plaque (not inscribed). While Winchester was prolific in its manufacture of special order deluxe rifles, they are seldom seen in the Colt pump action Lightning line. They exhibit exquisite lines with the finely checkered pistol grip that include complete checkering at the grip cap area with the checkered forend. The resplendent fiery grain stocks exhibit the black streaks that are usually found on Claro or French walnut. The checkering is sharp as new and the stock retains the majority of the deluxe finish with the usual minor abrasions. The barrel and tube retain virtually all of their original finish, although the blue is starting to mix and blend with patina. Razor sharp edges with light high edge wear, fire blue on rear sight. Retains significant amount of original fire blue on forend screws. The frame is a very soft untouched grey brown patina. Hammer still exhibits some brilliant case colors. Buttplate is brown patina. This is a second model closed top with a perfect action and a strong clean shiny bore. Beautiful all original untouched deluxe Colt Lightning.
