Has a 4" barrel in .31 bore-percussion. Manufactured in1864 with "Address Col. Sam, Colt New York US America" on the barrel. All matching numbers including wedge. Standard features include five shot; single action; with blued barrel and cylinder; and case colored frame, hammer, and lever; with plated back strap and trigger guard; and varnished walnut stocks. This revolver is in excellent all original condition. Barrel and cylinder retain approximately 20-30% original factory blue with the balance a brown grey patina with minor age freckling. Frame retains 40-60% brilliant original case colors. Traces of plating on back strap, balance mustard patina. Original grips are excellent, retaining a majority of the original finish. Bore is perfect. Action is as new. Cylinder hold-up scene is perfect. Comes in a vintage walnut display case with red velvet lining to include an original powder flask, original Colt stamped two-cavity mold, nipple wrench and cap tin. Beautiful set that has seen very little use with most finish simply flaked.
