.38 rimfire with a 6-1/2" barrel. These were manufactured in the 1870s and 1880s. This is a very scarce Navy model. Standard features include six shot, fluted cylinder, single action and blued finish. Top strap is stamped "XL Navy". Strong barrel and frame legends. Barrel is a pleasing smooth mix of blue-brown patina, as is the cylinder. Frame is basically grey with flashes of original blue. Sports a pair of excellent fitting ivory grips that are period to gun. A small chip at butt. Action locks up like new. Very good bore with some strong rifling and light abrasions.
