.32 caliber with a 3-1/4" barrel. This is an extremely scarce factory cut-a-way tip-up double action .32 caliber revolver. These were manufactured with various cut outs in the metal to display the inner workings for salesmen. Other features include factory nickel finish and owl's head gutta percha grips. Gun is in excellent condition retaining approximately 70% original factory nickel finish blended to smooth patina on balance. 90% original blue on trigger guard. Excellent case colors on hammer and trigger. Gutta percha grips are near mint. Bore is perfect. Action is tight. Cylinder does not exhibit any burn. There a minimum of eight cut-out areas, including grips, that show the mechanical function of the revolver. The last patent date is 1904. Gun is in perfect working order with a mint bore. Very rare and nice condition salesmen sample.
