Serial number is 855, caliber is 8mm, barrel length is 24". This model 98 K rifle bears all imperial German inspector marks. It has matching numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, floor plate, visible plate screw. The front barrel band and nose cap are stamped WaA211. The forend cap is stamped 855. The safety is stamped 81 and the bolt is stamped 3981. It has the original high turret mounts. The scope is a Certar 4-1/2 C.D. Gorez Berlin N 9894. Has the walnut stock with the original finish, no cracks with some minor field use abrasions but nothing major. The floor plate and trigger guard are a brown gray patina. The frame is a mix of blue patina as is the barrel. the bands are a soft brown patina, has the original military front and rear sights. Has an original sling. Perfect action and a strong rifled bore. The scope retains approximately 85% original blue with some age freckling. The mounts are a gray blue brown patina. Nice early German sniper rifle.
