Beautiful, sturdy model plane with painted accents on heavy polished metal. This advertising aircraft for PAA represents a Boeing Model 314. Mounted on a stand in the shape of the PAA logo of wings around the globe. Circa 1939. These would grace the offices of Travel Agents in hopes to entice the client into wanting to take that aircraft for a business trip or vacation. With tail number NC 18603, these planes served the Trans-Atlantic Route. After test flying the routes, NC18603 began transatlantic airmail service on May 20, 1939.
