.44-40 caliber with a 24" barrel. Manufactured in 1913. Standard Winchester Model 1892 in the most popular of all calibers, .44-40. Has a 24” full octagon barrel, full magazine, replaced rear sight, blade front sight, blued finish, walnut stock and rifle butt. Frame and barrel were nickel plated. Tube is brown patina. There is light salt and pepper pitting and freckling with gun metal grey mixing with the nickel finish. All but one frame screw is perfect. Excellent wood, proud to metal with no cracks or major chips and an extra coat of finish. Strong rifling with some black powder abrasion. Perfect action. Perfect working order.
