.44 percussion caliber, Barrel length 7-7/8". Manufactured in 1863. Standard U.S. issue, Martially stamped and cut for shoulder stock. All matching numbers including wedge. Martial inspectors marks. Rebated cylinder with no visible scene. Metal is a clean grey patina. One piece walnut grips are original to gun with a faint cartouche on both panels with chipping at lower front toe. Strong barrel and frame legends. Indexes properly and locks up fine. Strong bore with usual black powder abrasion.
