Barrel length 24". Caliber is 7.62 x 51mm. The SR-25 was developed in a joint effort between Knight's Manufacturing Co. and Eugene M. Stoner, the father of the AR-15. Together they developed the most accurate auto loading rifle in the world. This rifle combines the unique designs of the AR-10 and the AR-15 and comes standard with Remington 5-R rifle. The upper and lower receiver are high tensile strength aircraft aluminum alloy. Rifle weights 10.75 lbs without the scope and unloaded. This is the Match Rifle which features the free-floating heavy barrel with the flat top rail. It is gas loaded semi-automatic and is guaranteed to deliver accuracy in less than 1 MOA. This rifle was manufactured in February of 1994. It comes with all of the original paperwork and correspondence along with a dated 100 meter test target. This rifle retailed at $2500 in 1993. The SR-25 sniper rifle was used by the U.S. Navy Seals in Somalia in 1993. In addition to the rifle which has the attached bipod, it sports a Leupold Mark 4 M3-10X scope. Rifle shows very little use and comes with 5 magazines. This Stoner had the factory upgrade including the two stage match trigger and factory 30 mm scope rings ($600 upgrade).
