Beautiful china with narrow face, rose cheeks wearing a mohair wig most likely covering a black painted pate underneath. This 1850's era doll is attributed to Schlagenwald and is reminiscent of the face found on the so called "Morning Glory China". The body is antique stuffed muslin, with possibly newer leather forearms with individually separated fingers. The costume is green shiny silk with fine green and black thread trim at the neck line and skirt, running in a diagonal angle. Underwear is antique; lacking shoes. Condition is very good, with slight pitting at cheek and right side of neck.
Item Dimensions: 13" T.
