Barrel length 18", .22 short or long rimfire. This was Winchester's first turn of the century single shot boys rifle and was only manufactured 1899-1902. Given that these were made specifically for boys, most surviving examples are extremely rough. This rifle remains in very nice condition. The barrel retains approximately 95% of the re-applied blue finish, with sharp legends. The stock is excellent but was refinished at one time. It does not have a single crack anywhere. Very good bore with usual wear. Fine action. These are interesting little rifles that can be taken apart by simply removing the bottom screw.
