8mm caliber, barrel length 4.7". This Lot of 2 Japanese WWII weapons is accompanied by capture papers. Listing captured enemy material "Japanese sword, Japanese pistol, binoculars, camera". The release is dated Aug29, 1946 to one Theodore Lasdasky, Corporal, Army. Serial No. not listed on papers. The pistol is a typical, large trigger guard Type 14 Nambu with military finish, serrated wood grips, aluminum bottom magazine. In excellent, all original condition with matching numbers and magazine, retaining 95% of original wartime finish. It is housed in an original fine holster. The Samurai sword is typical NCO WWII military with a 27-1/2" near mint blade, SN 79506. The blade and handle hilt are Japanese factory marked. It comes in a military style olive drab metal scabbard with matching number that is also in excellent condition. Near mint blade and scabbard. Nice Japanese bring back set. Scabbard has matching number.
