Caliber .30 rimfire, Barrel length 3”. These single shot Derringers were manufactured from 1864-1866 by Morgan & Clapp in New Haven Connecticut, only 500 were ever manufactured. They feature a 3” blued full octagon barrel, nickel plated frame, spur trigger, exposed hammer, with two- piece varnished rose wood grips. They are referred to as a swing out Derringer. They are a matched set with identical finish. Frames retain 99% nickel with nice colors on hammer. Barrels are blued. It is interesting to note that while they are identical in looks, one barrel is stamped with the maker while the other is blank and devoid of any markings. Bores on both guns are excellent. This set of Deringers comes in a period wooden case with carry handle. Rarely seen in singles, let alone doubles.
