Caliber .45 ACP, Barrel length 5”. Manufactured in 1944. Standard Ithaca manufacture Model 1911 left side of slide is stamped “Ithaca Gun Co Inc. Ithaca NY” Right side of slide is stamped “United States Property M 1911 A-1 U.S. Army” Left side of frame has the “FJA” stamp for Frank Atwood with proof “P”. Has the brown plastic Keyes grips with outer reinforcing ring, reinforced insides with a “K “within a star. The blued barrel has “P” on the left lug and “HS” (high standard) on the right lug. Features serrated slide stop, checkered safety, serrated non spur hammer, serrated arched main spring and a proper magazine. Fine action, bright and shiny bore. This is a fine all original mid war Ithaca retaining 90% or better of the military phosphate finish.
