Caliber .30-06, Barrel length 24”. Offered is a near mint example of the last Model 1903s manufactured early in the Second World War. Has a barrel date of 9-42 and is stamped “RA” with bomb. Has the milled parts, proper rear sight to 2700 yards, with flat side knurled adjustment knobs, blue swept bolt. Retains approximately 98% military green tint Parkerized finish. Walnut stock and handguard are original. Hand guard has the long wide groove. Has two stock bolts and no finger groove. Left side is stamped with Ordnance wheel and inspector “R.L.B.” (Roy Bowlin 1941-42). In addition, rifle has the arsenal post-war inspector mark RA-P (Raritan Arsenal). Has the block “P” on wrist and smooth butt plate with trapdoor. ME reading of 1. Wood has a few dings but the metal retains 98% original finish. Fine example of the last of the ‘03s.
