Circa 1840. The 7-inch light cardboard doll has a metal reinforcement and a bend across his knees. He has ten outfits reflecting a child's activities of the period. They include: horseback riding, playing with a puppet, hunting, etc. He also carries a book entitled "The Beautiful Realm of Flowers" - a clever advertisement for the Kimmel and Forster publication. Also included: Another 7-inch light cardboard "Boy" with metal reinforcement and three outfits depicting similar activities. Both sets are hand colored with egg wash embellishment. Although neither set is complete, both are in excellent condition.
