Caliber .45 ACP Barrel length 5”. Manufactured in 1915. This pistol started life in 1915 as a standard Colt 1911 US property pistol. Left side of frame is stamped “United States Property” and also has the Augusta Arsenal (A.A.) rebuild stamp. Frame sports military WWII type dark phosphate finish. The slide is a standard WWI slide with the pony in the center. The slide was re-blued and retains most of the re-applied finish. This pistol retains the original checkered wide spur hammer as well as jthe checkered slide stop, safety and magazine release. A high profile wind drift rear sight has been added, along with a high profile back cut and serrated front sight. Has a checkered arched A-1 main spring housing and a jeweled custom short pull adjustable trigger. Sports a pair of custom checkered thumb rest right handed target walnut stocks. Front of the grip strap has been finely checkered. Barrel is a Colt national match No. 7790429. Has a national match barrel bushing No. 7267718. Fine bore and action. This fine pistol was built to shoot.
