This beautiful wind up, lithographed tin toy was manufactured by Marx. This version of the Climbing Fireman has him dressed in a yellow fireman's coat that reads "No. 1 Co.", blue pants and fireman's boots with short white gloves. His face is almost cartoon like in appearance. When wound and started at the base, the climbing firemen will make it to within a couple of rungs of the top of the ladder on a single winding. The Fireman measures 9-1/2", the ladder is just over 21" long.
