Caliber .30-40 KRAG, Barrel length 22''. Offered is a fine condition all original Model 1899 Krag carbine. Features the 1901 carbine stamped rear site, protected by the bump in the wooden hand guard between barrel band and site. Stock has a bold "JSA" cartouche and is dated 1899 as well as a strong script "P" at wrist. The trigger guard is a brown patina with traces of blue. The barrel retains 60% original blue mixing with patina. The cartridge box has 60% blue with high edge ware. 40% fire blue on extractor. Left side of frame is a grey patina. Carbine features the scare knurled headless cocking piece. Stock is excellent with just a few of the normal expected dings from use. No cracks. Fine action, and strong rifle bore. Far above average 1899 Krag.
