24” barrel in .30-06 caliber. This rifle was manufactured from March 1943 to June 1943. Bolt drawing number is D28287-1 W.R., no heat lot. Has the type 4 rear sight, Hex head gas nut, and blued op-rod. Balance of rifle has the military green Parkerized finish. No visible cartouche on the left side of stock. Serif “P” in circle on grip strap. Toe of stock has “B3” unit mark in white paint. Strong clean bore with an ME reading of .5. This rifle sports the M84 sniper scope serial No. 15196. Tube is stamped 7667424. Has line and post optics and original mounts. Original leather cheek pad dated 11-62 and marked “MRT”. Checkered buttplate with trapdoor. Wood has numerous dings. 70% original finish on metal. Fine sniper rifle, typical rebuild.
