This award was given each year to the winner of the shooting match and he would wear it to ceremonial dinners. He would wear it for the entire year and then it would be returned and given to the winner of next year's match. The large award at bottom looks to be silver and brass with cross rifles and a target and measures 4" at its widest parts. The badge above it has the same design and is stamped Schutzen-Verein Dudlingen. The remainder of the necklace alternates between a shield with cross rifles and a target and the Prussian eagle. In addition to the two main center awards there are 12 eagles each measuring 12-1/2" and 11 shields. The era is circa 1900. The necklace comes with a booklet on Schuetzen with photographs of shooting teams dating back to 1870 through the 1990's. There is also numerous pictures of different rifles and awards and the history on the competition. Book was published in 1991. A one of a kind item.
