(A) U.S. Model 1840 NCO Sword. Manufactured by Emerson of Trenton, NJ. DFM Inspected, 1865. Solid brass guard with clamshells. Has the Emerson and Silver brass mounted scabbard, measures 31 - 1/2" blade, 37 - 1/2" overall.(B) WWI German Butcher, manufactured by Gottleib bayonet. Metal scabbard, leather frog, dated 1914. Blade is 14 - 1/2", overall is 19 - 3/4".
