19" barrel in caliber 6.5mm Japanese. Manufactured at the Kokura Arsenal. Inverted V front sight with guards, open V rear sight to 2,000 meters, intact royal mum on bridge with 'Type 44' characters, two piece buttstock with full length handguard, three underside drain holes in forestock, knurled safety with smooth sides and notch indicator, integral folding bayonet, matching numbers, and original dust cover. No cleaning rod. Wood is in very good to excellent condition. Carbine retains most of the original factory military blue starting to age patina. Fine bore and action.
