31-1/4” barrel in 6.5mm Japanese. Manufactured at the Chigusa factory of Nagoya Arsenal from the 27th series. Has the invert V front sight with guards, polished cleaning rod, rear sight adjustable to 2,400 meters, two piece buttstock with handguard, knurled safety with notch indicator, and cupped edge sheet metal buttplate. All metal retains approximately 98% of the beautiful original factory blue finish with straw colors on trigger and rear sight spring. Has full royal mum on forward bridge and plum shaped bolt knob numbered to gun. Still has the original dust cover. This rifle is in superb all original condition with the usual dents on stock. Perfect action. Bright and shiny bore with strong rifling. Comes with an original Japanese leather sling with Japanese writing on inside. Truly exceptional Model 38.
