24" barrel in caliber .30-06. This rifle was manufactured by Springfield March 1943-June 1943. Barrel is dated January 1952 and stamped "SA" with a "P". Has a type four sight. Bolt drawing number is D28287-12SA heat lot number is B3 (proper). Metal retains approximately 90% of the military green parkerized finish. Hex nut gas tube. DOD three star stamp on right side of stock and "S.A. O.G." in box. Serif "P" in circle on wrist. Checkered buttplate and trap. ME reading of 2 with a bright bore. This is a typical example of Korean War rebuild with new stock, barrel, and rear sight.
